I absolutely love shooting couples sessions, and it makes me even more excited when it’s meaningful for you and your partner. It doesn’t matter if you’re booking an everyday couples session or booking an engagement shoot; I want to make sure it’s personalized to you and your partner. So this blog is all about how to personalize your couples session!
Choose a location that’s meaningful to you
Is there somewhere you and your lover had your first kiss? The location where you said “Yes!” to you when your boo went on one knee? The spot you guys had your first date? Any of these places could be a great way to bring some nostalgia back and make your session unique to you.
Bringing your pets
Want to capture memories with your little family? I’m all for it! Bringing your pets adds such a fun element to your photos, and it’s always a “Heck yeah!” when my couples ask to do it. Trust me, chances are I’ll be just as obsessed with your furry friend as you are. so never hesitate to have them tag along!
Include items that are personal to you
I know this is a broad statement, but there’s so many ways you can personalize your session with props. For example, Keawe brought his guitar to him and Ali’s shoot, and the photos turned out amazing! This is because they had something there that was meaningful to them, so it added an entirely new dimension to their session.
Having a date day
Imagine spending the day with your favorite person, laughing your butts off together, and having someone to document it for you. When you make your session more of a date, there’s so much more authenticity and naturalness that shines through. No matter how you and your partner choose to spend the day, I would love to be there to photograph it!
Having a steamy in-home session
Chances are, you and your boo are the most comfortable at home. Why not spice it up and get steamy with each other for a session? You can even do a shower session if you really wanna turn up the heat. Whatever you’re comfortable with, I’m ready to photograph!
