If you know anything about me, you know that I’m obsessed with getting creative with my couples. I love getting to witness your real, raw connection – that’s what really lights my fire! That’s why I wanted to put together a list of unique couples session ideas, because I want my couples to feel like they’re having an experience instead of just a photoshoot. These ideas are perfect if you want to have a date day, with me there to photograph it!
In-Home Baking Session
Ready to bake some goodies with your love? I’m all for it! Especially if baking is something you and your partner love doing together, this is a great, cozy option for fall and winter time. And it’s super convenient because you don’t even have to leave your home. You can wear matching pj’s, sweatsuits, or anything else you feel comfy in!
In-Studio “Modeling” Shoot
You could go so many different directions with this one – which is why it’s one of my favorite unique couples session ideas. You and your boo can make a stop at the mall, pick up a few matching Calvin Klein sets, and “model” like you’re going to be on a magazine cover! You can do this with any brand of your choosing, and whatever you’re comfortable in. For this shoot, we would most likely rent a studio to really get the modeling feel.
Hot Springs Session
I’ll be honest, there’s nothing I love more than a good steamy couples session. If you and your love want to spend the day relaxing at a hot spring (which, who wouldn’t?!) and get some photos while you’re at it, I would love to accompany you.
Rock Climbing Session
For all my adventurous couples out there, I have ideas for you too! If you and your boo are into rock climbing or are looking to try something new together, this would be a great option. I love documenting new experiences for my couples, so I would absolutely love to do that for you.
Water-Based Session
Water adds such a beautiful dimension to photos, which is exactly why I wanted to incorporate it into my list of unique couples session ideas. The PNW has so much to offer in terms of scenery, so why not take advantage? We could visit one of the hundreds of beautiful lakes in Oregon, or keep it simple by doing a steamy in-home shower session. We could even get wild and crazy and find a waterfall or two!
Cozy Campfire Session
A campfire, s’mores, blankets, and cozy vibes? Sounds like a dream! I would love to scout out a few locations in Oregon where we can set up something like this together. And if it’s a little too cold, we can also do a cozy in-home session with candles and hot chocolate. Bonus points if you have a fireplace! Either way, winter is a great time for any type of cozy session with your boo.
